The group is now physically together in Berlin, after two months of electronic messages, calls and conferences. There has been a weekend of planning, excitement and even a little action!
We warmed up for the upcoming events in Poland with a ‘wrap it up’ action at Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. After invitation we were amazed to find that Barack Obama, Angela Merkel and Sigmar Gabriel (German environment minister) all decided to join us in calling in action on climate change.
We unveiled our huge ‘wrap it up’ banners with cloth messages from young people from around Europe. All were asking politicians of every country to take action now and wrap up climate change.
Okay, I admit it wasn’t the real Barack, Angela or Sigmar!
